This is how it all started…

It all started when I spotted a beautiful Victorian villa along the seafront in Penarth, Wales. I was taking our dog Jasper for a walk in the park with my mum. I was mesmerised by it, and every time we walked past, I would peer through the garden gate.

A white cast iron table and chairs were on the terrace, where I envisioned a beautiful blonde lady. She was sitting, looking at the sea, her hair blowing gently in the breeze.

It was 1939, and the war was about to break out. This lady would become one of my main characters, Fiona Beaumont. The life she’d dreamed of wasn’t going to plan.

My debut novel, Reticence, was born from this moment, and I am excited to say it is available to buy now.
